Exercise:
The North Galactic Pole is at
Right Ascension 12h49m, declination +27°24'.
What is the tilt
of the galactic plane to the celestial equator?
This one is really easy!
The
distance from the North Celestial Pole P to the North Galactic Pole G
is just (90°- declination of G) = 62.6°.
So this is also the tilt of the galactic plane to the equator.
Back to "galactic coordinates".
